All pressure relief liners are composed of high-density visco-elastic foam. The client shape is dilated to accommodate the thickness and firmness of the chosen liner before the carving process begins. This allows for compression of the liner and ensures proper fit. The most common foam chosen is soft in 1/2" or 1" thickness. We also offer medium firmness (1/2" and 1" thickness) and super soft liner foam (1/2" or 1"). Foam combinations can also be used.

We mount the carved, high-density cross-linked polyolefin foam to Baltic birch plywood. The plywood has the T-nut pattern specified at time of order to facilitate ease of wheelchair attachment.

Signature-Fit cushions provide extremely solid lateral support. This is accomplished by reinforcing the cushions using 1/8" or 1/4" ABS plastic. The plastic is attached to the side of the cushion and comes out to match the lateral depth--affording a solid lateral support while maintaining a thin profile. Additionally, a heavy-duty L-shaped reinforcement may be requested.
